Description:
Ultrasonic spot welding is mainly used for, for example, flat moldings (such as semi-finished products, thermoforming, blow molding, extrusion, and large surface moldings) that are not welded (ED).
The tip of the ultrasonic generator passes through the upper portion into the lower portion. Heat is generated on the contracted surface of the molded part, whereby the material is plasticized and welded. The discharged plastic flows upward and forms an annular projection. There is basically no trace on the back of the lower part. The molded part can be appropriately fixed by pressing or clamping means. The thickness of the molded part adjacent to the ultrasonic generator should not exceed 8 mm. Spot welding can also be carried out using a movable ultrasonic hand soldering equipment (welding gun).
