Different welding machines have different functions and their own characteristics in operation and use. The editor thinks that the main point of the welding machine lies in its own working principle. It is possible to further understand the function of the welding machine and the entire operation mode. This is the more important link. Everyone is more interested in ultrasonic plastic welding machine and metal welding machine. I will explain the difference between these two welding machines.
1. Ultrasonic plastic welding machine
When ultrasonic waves act on the thermoplastic contact surface, it generates thousands of high-frequency vibrations every second. This high-frequency vibration reaches a certain amplitude, and the ultrasonic energy is transmitted to the welding area through the upper welding part. Because the welding area, that is, the sound insulation of the two welding interfaces, local high temperature will be generated. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of plastics, they cannot be distributed in time for a period of time and gather in the welding area, causing the contact surfaces of the two plastics to melt rapidly, and a certain pressure is added to combine them into one. When the ultrasonic stops, let the pressure continue for a few seconds to make it solidify, thereby forming a stronger molecular chain to achieve the purpose of welding, and the welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material. The quality of ultrasonic plastic welding depends on the amplitude of the welded joint of the transducer, the additional pressure and the welding time. Welding time and welding head pressure can be adjusted, and the amplitude is determined by the transducer and amplitude bar. The interaction of these three quantities has an appropriate value. When the energy exceeds the appropriate value, the amount of plastic melting is large and the welding material is easy to deform; when the energy is small, it is not easy to weld, and the pressure cannot be too large. This optimal pressure is the product of the side length of the welded part and the optimal pressure per 1mm of the side.
2. Ultrasonic metal welder
The principle of ultrasonic metal welding is a special method that uses mechanical vibration energy of ultrasonic frequency (over 15KHz) to connect the same metal or dissimilar metals. When ultrasonic welding metal, neither electric current nor high temperature heat source is applied, but under static pressure, the vibration energy of the wire rope frame is converted into friction work, deformation energy and limited temperature rise between the workpieces. The metallurgical bonding between the joints is a solid state welding that does not melt the base material, which can effectively overcome the splash and oxidation phenomenon caused by resistance welding. Ultrasonic metal welder can perform single spot welding, multi-spot welding and short strip welding on non-ferrous metal thin wire or sheet materials such as copper, silver, aluminum, nickel and so on. It can be widely used for welding thyristor leads, fuses, electrical leads, lithium battery electrodes and ears.
There are many differences between plastic welding machines and metal welding machines, including functionality, mold material, and working principle. The products they weld involve many fields, and it is necessary to understand the welding machine clearly.
