Description
The sensor converts high-frequency electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical vibration. It contains several pressure ceramic discs, clamped under pressure between two metal blocks. Between each plate is a thin metal plate, which forms an electrode. When the sinusoidal electrical signal is fed to the transducer through the electrode, the disk expands and contracts, resulting in axial vibration.
