What is an ultrasonic welding machine? What are the advantages of ultrasonic welding machine?
Introduction to Ultrasonic Welding
Ultrasonic welding machine uses ultrasonic vibration frequency and contact friction to generate heat energy, so that two plastic parts are melted and fixed together at the welding interface. Ultrasonic welding is a fast, clean and efficient assembly process. It is widely used to meet the high-strength assembly requirements of plastic parts. It is an advanced assembly technology, suitable for the assembly of various plastic parts. Ultrasonic welding has high tensile strength under normal conditions, can replace assembly methods such as solvent glue and mechanical fastening, and has a waterproof and moisture-proof sealing effect.
Principle of Ultrasonic Welding
The working principle of ultrasonic welding is to use an ultrasonic generator to convert a current of 50 Hz or 60 Hz into electrical energy of 15, 20, 30 or 40 kHz. The converted high-frequency electric energy is converted into mechanical motion of the same frequency again through the transducer. The mechanical motion is then transmitted to the welding head through a set of amplitude modulator devices, which can change the amplitude of the welding head.
Advantages of ultrasonic welding machine
Ultrasonic welding is a fast, ten-clean, and highly reliable assembly process. It has the following advantages: 1. Fast welding speed and high efficiency. Most ultrasonic welding can be completed within 0.1~0.5 s;
2. Low cost. Due to the high efficiency, low labor cost, and the elimination of a large number of fixtures, adhesives or mechanical fasteners, ultrasonic welding is a very economical way of assembling plastic parts;
3. High strength. Ultrasonic welding can almost reach more than 80% of the strength of the plastic part
