What is the cutting performed by the ultrasonic cutting machine?


The ultrasonic cutting machine vibrates the blade 20,000-40,000 times per second (20-40 kHz). Due to this movement, the ultrasonic cutting machine can easily cut resin, rubber, non-woven fabric and composite materials. In addition to excellent maintainability, our products are also very environmentally friendly because they basically do not emit any debris, waste water, noise or smoke.



How does the ultrasonic cutting machine work?


Every object has its own special frequency through which the object can be stable and easy to oscillate. By adding an external force corresponding to the special frequency, a smaller force can obtain a larger vibration. This phenomenon is called resonance. With the help of resonance, the blade will vibrate greatly.

The ultrasonic cutting machine is composed of a "transducer" that generates oscillation and an "oscillator" that drives the transducer. The piezoelectric element is incorporated in the transducer, and by applying an alternating voltage aligned with the characteristic frequency of the transducer from the oscillator to the piezoelectric element, the entire vibrator including the cutting blade is resonated. The sensor has a feedback control system that transmits the frequency or amplitude deviation information due to the cutting load to the oscillator. The feedback control system can keep the resonance state and the blade amplitude stable, so that the cutting machine can always cut the material clearly and cleanly.
