1.Working principle

The principle of ultrasonic cutting is to convert 50/60Hz current into 20, 30 or 40KHz electric energy through an ultrasonic generator. It is converted into mechanical vibration of the same frequency, and then the mechanical vibration is transmitted to the cutting knife through a set of amplitude modulator device that can change the amplitude. The cutting knife transfers the received vibration energy to the cutting surface of the workpiece to be cut. In this area, the vibration energy is used to cut the rubber by activating the molecular energy of the rubber and opening the molecular chain.

 

2.Structural composition and characteristics of rubber ultrasonic cutting machine

The main components of an ultrasonic cutting system include ultrasonic generator (driving power supply), ultrasonic transducer, horn, cutting knife (tool head) and various output circuits and control circuits. The ultrasonic drive power converts the mains electricity into high frequency and high voltage alternating current, which is output to the ultrasonic transducer. The ultrasonic transducer is actually equivalent to an energy conversion device, which can convert the input electrical energy into mechanical energy, namely ultrasonic waves. Its manifestation is that the transducer stretches back and forth in the longitudinal direction. The frequency of the telescopic movement is equal to the frequency of the high-frequency alternating current supplied by the driving power supply. The role of the horn is to fix the entire ultrasonic vibration system, and the other is to amplify the output amplitude of the transducer. The cutting knife (tool head) further amplifies the amplitude and focuses the ultrasound. On the other hand, it outputs ultrasonic waves, and uses the similar cutting edge of the cutting knife to concentrate ultrasonic energy into the cutting part of the material to be cut. Under the action of huge ultrasonic energy, this part instantly softens and melts, and its strength drops greatly. At this point, as long as a small cutting force is applied, the purpose of cutting the material can be achieved.
