Reasons for uneven welding of ultrasonic plastic welding machine

1: Plastics that are susceptible to moisture and high moisture content will also cause difficulty in ultrasonic welding or poor welding, such as nylon 6, if necessary, dry it before ultrasonic welding;

2: The output energy of the ultrasonic welding equipment is unstable or the power is too small, which will also cause uneven welds after ultrasonic welding. In this case, there must be a problem with the device.

3: Design of ultrasonic welding wire

Experience has shown that most of the uneven welds are related to the structural design of plastic product joints. The reasonable size and shape of the ultrasonic welding line are closely related to the effect of ultrasonic welding. For example, if the ultrasonic wire is too thick, the ultrasonic machine does not have enough energy to weld, and the welding will be uneven.

4: Different materials for ultrasonic welding parts

The two welds of ultrasonic welding should use the same material as much as possible, such as PA and PA, POM and POM. In contrast, ultrasonic welding of semi-crystalline plastics is not easy to weld. If the two welding materials are different, it is recommended to make the ultrasonic structure into a mechanical interlocking type.

5: Plastics that are not easy to weld, such as PP, PC, nylon, synthetic plastics, etc., contain more additives or glass fibers; these plastics have poor ultrasonic conductivity and high melting point, which makes it difficult to achieve good ultrasonic welding results.
