    PZT piezoelectric ceramics are solid solutions of PbZrO3 and PbTiO3 with a perovskite structure. PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 are typical representatives of ferroelectrics and antiferroelectrics. Since Zr and Ti belong to the same subgroup, PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 have similar spatial lattice forms, but their macroscopic properties are quite different. Lead titanate is a ferroelectric with a Curie temperature of 492°C, while lead zirconate is an antiferroelectric with a Curie temperature of 232°C. Such a huge difference has caused widespread concern.


   By studying the solid solution of PbTiO3 and PbZrO3, it is found that PZT has better piezoelectric and dielectric properties than other ferroelectrics. PZT and doped PZT series ferroelectric ceramics have become the focus of research in recent years.
